Research topic: Assessing microplastics, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and per-/poly-fluoroalkyl substances in northeastern Pacific sea otters (Enhydra lutris)
About: Dana came from Ontario to study ecotoxicology in BC’s sea otters at UBC. She hopes to contribute to the understanding of how contamination is impacting this endangered species and add to the baseline data of microplastics present in marine mammals.
