As a longstanding fixture of the BC marine mammal community since 1992, we regret that this year’s event will not take place.
We regret to announce that this year’s BC Marine Mammal Symposium has been canceled and will not take place as usual on the last Saturday in November. This year has brought logistical challenges and a shortage of volunteers, making it impossible to host the event in its traditional format.
This pause gives us an opportunity to reflect and plan for the future. The symposium has always been shaped by its community, and the positive input we have been receiving and offers of volunteers gives us confidence that we will again gather to share our passions and new discoveries in 2026.
